What better way to display the possibilities of a green wedding than to show off the gorgeous summer produce you can find at your local farmers' market?? Yesterday, I helped my friend Corina promote her events business at an internal Green Fair at Adobe Systems in San Jose. We built a beautiful table using several rental items from Classic Party Rentals, bamboo plates (a sustainable material), recycled glass containers, soy candles and of course, organic and local fruits and vegetables. Lots of people were surprised that we could build an upscale and elegant table using sustainable materials. And the best part? Corina's idea to give each guest an organic canvas bag so that they could essentially go shopping off the table at the end of the night. What a genius way to re-use your centerpieces!
The dress was borrowed from Eco Citizen. The idea was to show and eco-friendly design that could be utilized as a bridesmaid dress or perhaps a rehearsal dinner dress for a casual wedding -- and it's something that can be worn again! This gorgeous Linda Loudermilk design is made from sustainable silk and organic cotton denim. Eco-Luxe at it's finest!
